HAPPY HOUR with mp3! The Two Man Gentleman's Band
"The Two Man Gentlemen Band is an amazing duo that performs demented dixieland while wearing season-inappropriate suits. One of them happens to look much like Jefferson on the nickel. Highly entertaining, low volume fun." - FreeNYC.net

8-11.30 pm - SCENIC - $8
(Ave B btw 2nd and 3rd)

DJs: Melody Nelson and DJ Matilda von Crumbcake
(Colleen from East Village Radio)

08.00 OPEN BAR (until it lasts)
08.30 mp3! Die Romantik

"The moodiness of Dostoyevsky is at its soul, the ringing balalaikas and odd time shifts underscoring a dark feel to the music... Die Romantik actually brings together those influences with a touch of the Cure and, dare we say it, the Beatles". - DIY Reporter

09.15 mp3! Ezra Reich
"Hailing from the kingdom of pure Pop joy" - The Deli
10.00 mp3! Gym Class
“They played edgy synth rock that made us tap our feet. We imagine that if heaven and hell existed, and it existed as multi-leveled notes and chords played in the 1980's, 1990's and 2000's simultaneously...and they crashed together...Gym Class would be comprised of its apocalyptic fragments.” - Gothamist

10.45 mp3! KUDU
"Going to a Kudu show is like falling in love for the first time—something wild, new, and exciting that will stick in your mind and move your ass. Kudu are performing on a regular basis at Nublu, downtown NYC." - upcoming.org

11.30-late - NUBLU - $5-10
(Ave C btw 4th and 6th)

All Night: Visuals by Devan (from c-trl.com)

11.30 mp3! Elodie O
“ElodieO is a pop gem with a soft French accent that sings over cello, harp, guitars and organ, elevating it from your usual live show.” – New York Press

12.30 mp3! Beat Pharmacy
"Beat Pharmacy pairs deep, thick bass with textured, tech production and fresh thinking. "Race Track Jockey" will earn many a comparison to Basic Channel, particularly given the vocals of Paul St. Hilaire, a.k.a. Tikiman, but instrumentals such as "Breathing" and "Here To Go" are just as captivating". - Eye magazine

"Avenue A, you're all right.
Avenue B, you're brave.
Avenue C, you're crazy.
Avenue D, you're dead."

mp3! Kudu mp3! Elodie O

If you have spent less than twelve or so years in New York, this charming mnemonic tidbit probably doesn't make any sense to you. Avenue B is lined with French bistros and enviable parkside real estate; Avenue C is home to cool design shops and crowded watering holes. I hear you can still get a tolerable deal on an apartment between C and D -- if you hurry.

Real estate agents have managed to change the perception and very name of this area, de facto absorbing it into the East Village (and its housing price range). Here at the Deli, we like to use proper nomenclature: right now, Alphabet City is the fluorishing spot in Manhattan as alternative culture and music are concerned..

The Deli's neighborhood party will celebrate Alphabet City's venues with live shows by NYC based artists. This party is also meant to celebrate the nieghborhood itself, featuring its main upcoming
record label/wonderful bar (Nublu), its indie rock oriented music shops (Etherea Records,) and even one of its restaurants (included in the full ticket a $5 coupon for a dinner at Esperanto, on ave C and 9th).

mp3! Die Romantik

The line up is going to blow the audience away. In line with The Deli's best tradition, we recruited a bunch of emerging NYC bands (including visual artists and DJs) with strong live shows and fresh musical ideas.

Come party with The Deli!
