Radio America
Radio America
shreds genres like grunge-era jeans, and tosses
time signatures around like toddlers with
puppies, all in search of the almighty hooks
that define their sound. - website

Schwervon
“Like the White Stripes if they’d
been raised on the records of ‘80s indie
heroes The Wedding Present rather than Blind
Willie McTell ones, New York boy/girl duo
Schwervon! peddle a natty guitar drum rock’n’roll
racket, substituting bass frequencies for
gleeful indie pop aceness.” - NME

Earlymay
"Without the mountains of expectancy,
Earlymay had only themselves to impress, and
in the process managed to impress all of us.
" - PopMatters - website

Jealous
Girlfriends
"A Spoon-like
modern twist on guitar rock... fresh sounding
and free of cliches" - Billboard
Magazine - website
11.30
Lions
and Tigers
"Edgy,
indie rock of the "spacey-punky-glammy"
variety, full of attitude. Traces of Bowie
in the lead vocals, big screamy bvs a la Clash,
wide keyboard pads mixed as loud as the driving
guitar, tight performances and the essense
of rock'n'roll: tension and release, storm
and quietness." The Deli Magazine

A
Place to Bury Strangers
"...pushed
to the limits of the noise side of the signal-to-noise
ratio... blazing sonic attacks... really fucking
cool!... The more I listen to these songs
the more I enjoy them.- Jon Whitney -

The Jealous Girlfriends |
It
was right about time for The Deli magazine
to organize a party in Williamsburg! And
yes, we couldn't go for anything less than
the neighborhood's best venue, North
Six - and on a Saturday Night!
For the occasion, we put
together a bill of truly amazing up and
coming NYC bands - check out their songs
here,
you'll be surprised.
We are ready to bet on
The Jealous Girlfriends,
a band that came out from the same environment
involved in the creation of some of the
most cutting edge NYC records of the last
few years (TV On The Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs,
Ambulance Ltd. and more). They have a great
live show, and not many people know about
them yet, so do not dare missing them.

Lions and Tigers |
Earlymay |
It's going to be a multifaceted
gig, with A Place To Bury
Strangers' sweeping noise
rock, Lions and Tigers'
spacey glam, Schwervon's
electric anti-folk and Radio
America's rock'n'roll.
Earlymay will bring
in some feeling with their solid
and intense indie emo-rock.
