Todd
P was recently nominated by the Village Voice BEST
THROWER OF NO-BULLSHIT FAR-FLUNG INDIE ROCK SHOWS in
the 2004 best of New York.
The
Deli was nominated - just now! - by The Deli Magazine itself "BEST
NO BULLSHIT NOT SO FAR-FLUNG FREE MAGAZINE ENTIRELY FOCUSED ON
NYC MUSIC SCENE".
This
party was obviously bound to happen.
Todd
chose all the bands playing this party - and yes, it's not going
to be a show but a real party, like if we were in somebody's (huge)
private basement.
Todd
P has a knack for booking great (and pretty insane) artists. How
else would you describe these pictures?

FUN,
EXTREME CREATIVITY and DIY are "the" words. Guys, I'm
not just saying it... this is how Sara Marcus from the Village
Voice describes the man and his parties:
"Ah,
the paradox of New York rock: There are concerts every night,
but it's nearly impossible to have fun at one. Unless, of course,
the show was set up by TODD P. A transplant from Portland, Oregon,
where DIY doesn't become passé on your 21st birthday, Todd
P. books some of this city's greatest musicians (Orthrelm, Currituck
County) along with excellent touring acts.... Drinks are cheap,
and displays of enthusiasm are the norm." (Village Voice)
